Iowa Organization for Student Success (IOSS)

As a state chapter of the National Organization for Student Success, IOSS is a professional network of Iowa post-secondary faculty, staff, and administrators who are committed to promoting student success in higher education. Student success programming focuses on the intellectual, social, and emotional growth and development of all post-secondary students, from college preparatory coursework to graduation,​ and is provided through both instructional and support services.

Instructional services include college orientation and skill-building courses in reading, writing, English language learning, mathematics, study strategies, and critical thinking.

Support services include an assessment of academic preparedness, academic accommodation for those with special needs, tutoring, personal and career counseling, collaborative learning groups, computer-assisted instruction, and supplemental instruction.

Help an outstanding student who has taken developmental couses earn a $500 scholarship for future academic work.
