Andrew Nelson

Andy Nelson is the Campus Recreation Coordinator for the DMACC Ankeny Campus. He began his career at DMACC as the Intramural and Facility Specialist for the Campus Recreation Department in 2005.
Andy is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA degree in Leisure, Youth & Human Services with emphases in Programming, Youth Services and Tourism. He also has his coaching authorization and is certified in CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA.
Zach Dentlinger

DMACC: Physical Fitness & Sports Management Degree (2017)
Zach Dentlinger graduated from DMACC in 2017 with a degree in Physical Fitness and Sports Management. He currently works full time for Grainger Industrial Supply and part-time with the DMACC Campus Recreation Department. He enjoys spending time with family, friends and watching the Hawkeyes beat the Cyclones.
Ashley Lane
Campus Recreation Gym Supervisor
Ashley Lane is a Campus Recreation Gym Supervisor for DMACC Ankeny Campus. She is certified in CPR, First Aid/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Universal Precautions.
Ashley was a graduate of Des Moines Area Community College in Spring 2019 with her Associates Degree in Science. She is continuing her career at DMACC to become a dental assistant and graduated in the Summer of 2020. After that she will continue at DMACC and become a dental hygienist.
Ashley is proud to be a DMACC Student and Employee, and she hopes others will love it as much as her. GO BEARS!
Hannah Larson
Campus Recreation Gym Supervisor
Hannah Larsen is a Campus Recreation Gym Supervisor for DMACC Ankeny Campus. She is certified in CPR, First Aid/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Universal Precautions.
Hannah was a graduate of Des Moines Area Community College in Spring 2018 with her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She has a degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She also plans to obtain her authorization in coaching.
She is very involved on the DMACC Ankeny Campus. Hannah is a Residents' Assistant for the DMACC's STRIVE Academy where she oversees college students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and teaches them life skills. Going along with that position, she is the President of the Best Buddies DMACC Chapter.
Hannah is proud to be a DMACC Alumni and Employee, and she hopes others will love it as much as her. GO BEARS!
Brayden Ludwig
Intramural Official
Brayden Ludwig graduated from Ankeny Centennial High School, and is currently attending DMACC and plans to graduate in 2020. His favorite sports are football and basketball. He plans to attend The University of Iowa State for a degree in Business Management. Along with this position at DMACC he works at Hy-vee.
Collin Shannon
Intramural Official
Collin Shannon is part of the Campus Staff Recreation and Gym Supervisor. He has been working here since January of 2019. Collin went to Iowa Central Community College for 2 years and earned his AA and AS degrees. He is currently taking classes at Iowa State University majoring in Biology. Collin is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
Corey Tigges
Intramural Official
Cory Tigges grew up in a small town called Ringsted, IA. He went to North Union High School in Armstrong, IA. He graduated from DMACC in the fall of 2017 with an AAS degree in Architectural Technology. He works 2 jobs, the first is in Des Moines at Raker Rhodes Engineering as a structural architect, the second job is by far his favorite job with the Campus Recreation as an official. What he likes about this job is that he gets to meet great people, playing sports again just like the good old days from high school, and learning how to be an official. Someday he hopes to ref high school sports.
