We are currently experiencing an issue with the software for ALEKS testing on campus. We are working on a resolution. Please call a testing center to be added to a wait-list for the assessment. We will contact you when we are able to administer ALEKS within the next couple of days.
DMACC Testing Centers
DMACC Testing Center locations have specific hours of operation and tests available.
All DMACC campuses are closed on the following dates in 2025:
- January 1
- January 20
- February 14
- May 26
- July 4
- September 1
- October 24
- November 26 (close at noon)
- November 27-28
- December 24 - January 1, 2026
Additional test center closures are noted below under each location.
Online/Remote Testing (All Campuses)
DMACC offers remote testing for three assessments:
- ACCUPLACER® Assessment for DMACC (Reading and Writing).
- ACCUPLACER® Assessment for employment (Reading, Writing, and Math).
- ALEKS Assessment for DMACC Math Placement

The Ankeny Testing Center will be open the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00a-12:00p. Saturday appointments can be scheduled here.

Tests offered – no appointment needed:
- ACCUPLACER Assessments – Allow at least 90 minutes for testing.
- ACCUPLACER (ELL) – Allow at least two hours for testing.
- ATI TEAS Assessment – Allow 4 hours for check-in and testing. Walk-ins welcome or schedule an appointment.
- Dental Board Certification - Allow 1 hour for testing. Walk-ins welcome or schedule an appointment.
- DMACC proctored exams.
- If you have an approved accommodation on file with Disability Services, schedule an appointment online: Ankeny Test Center Accommodations.
- Accommodation Answers
- Pesticide Applicator – Allow at least 1 hour for testing. Examinees need to create an account and bring their login information to the testing site.

- Lead Abatement Contractor and Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor - call 515-256-4942 to register before scheduling. Call or email to schedule.
- PearsonVUE computer based testing. Call for scheduling information.
- Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board Exam (Kirkwood) – Schedule an appointment. Testers must register for an exam with Kirkwood Community College before making a testing appointment at DMACC.
