DMACC has worked to provide a variety of class delivery types to suit your individual needs. The terms below will help you better understand the Course Delivery as you determine​ how you want to take classes:​​ 

Face-to-Face:

Face-to-Face class at DMACC Campus or Center

  • Canvas will be used for sharing course syllabus, course materials, and the gradebook

Web-Blended (Face-to-Face & Online):

Partial Face-to-Face at DMACC Campus or Center

  • Partial Online Learning
  • Canvas will be used for sharing course syllabus, course materials, and the gradebook

CLASS LOCATION LISTED AS: [CAMPUS, Building & Room Number] AND TBA Web Blended - Web


Online:

Taught completely online with no specific meeting times

  • Lectures, learning materials, assignments, tests* are delivered using Canvas
  • No Face-to-Face Component; Students will not come to a DMACC Campus or Center
  • Canvas will be used for sharing course syllabus, course materials, and the gradebook
  • *NOTE: Some programs require proctoring of tests which may need to be completed in a testing center, remote proctoring setting, or with an AI video recording solution. Your instructor will explain this process and options.​​

Real-time Virtual:

Virtual Classroom with specific meeting times via Canvas Collaborate

  • Canvas will be used for sharing course syllabus, course materials, and the gradebook

Virtual and Online Course Support

In May 2020, DMACC offered virtual and online course support workshops for students. Each session included a faculty or staff member from the following areas: DMACC Distance Learning (Canvas help), academic advising, counseling, and the Academic Achievement Centers (AAC) and testing centers. If you missed the sessions, we encourage you to watch the recording and view the supporting materials below. If you have questions about how Canvas will be used in your course, contact your instructor.
