In response to the recent workforce changes affecting Tyson employees, DMACC has announced the opening of a Workforce Resource Center in Perry. The Resource Center aims to provide essential support and guidance to those impacted, offering access to training information, funding resources and other valuable workforce-related assistance.
Located at the DMACC Perry VanKirk Academy, 1011 2nd Street in Perry, the Resource Center will be open from 1-7 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer, providing flexibility for individuals seeking assistance. Walk-in visitors are welcome, but scheduled information sessions will be offered as well.
The Resource Center will be staffed by various organizations in the workforce development sector, including the DMACC Workforce Training Academy, Iowa Workforce Development, Proteus and more, and will offer a variety of resources and support. Scheduled information sessions will cover topics ranging from training opportunities to navigating funding options, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their career paths.
