1055 SW Prairie Trail Pkwy, Ankeny, IA 50023

Check out the FAQs below to prepare for the fair.
The Public Service Career Fair is targeted towards programs within DMACC’s Public & Community Services Pathway, specifically: Criminal Justice, EMT, Fire Science, Human Services, Liberal Arts (transfer), Paralegal, Paramedic, Psychology, and Sociology.
DMACC students, graduates, and faculty/staff; students from other Iowa colleges and universities; high school students and their teachers/counselors; and members of the public.
Many, but not all, career fair attendees will be actively seeking jobs or internships within the public service sector. Some students attending the fair will be participating in the fair to learn about public service careers in general. We appreciate your organization’s willingness to help these “career explorers” learn more about careers in public service.
This is the first time we are hosting this event, so estimating attendance is difficult this year. With anticipated attendance from DMACC, other colleges, high schools, and the public, the planning committee hopes to see 200+ students and job seekers attend.
Yes. The $50 registration fee includes one 6 foot table, two chairs, and two boxed lunches. An invoice with payment instructions will be emailed to the contact listed on your organization’s registration form. Payment can be made online using a credit card or by check. Payment should be made prior to the event.
For the first time, DMACC’s Criminal Justice, Fire & EMS, and Public Service career fairs are being combined into one event. To better accommodate what we anticipate will be a large event, we are hosting the fair at the FFA Enrichment Center, which is not operated by DMACC. The career fair registration fee will go towards covering the cost of renting the venue.
Cancellations should be sent to Sara Clayton, Career Services Coordinator, at snclayton@dmacc.edu or 515-964-6215. Cancellations received before 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23rd will be eligible for a full refund. Organizations that cancel after that date/time, or no-show the day of the event, will not be eligible for refunds.
No. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to coordinate add-on lunches at this time. If your organization plans to send more than two representatives to the career fair, please coordinate internally to make alternate lunch arrangements for extra representatives. The District, located less than a mile west of the FFA Enrichment Center, has several restaurants where attendees can find dine-in or carry-out lunch options. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We will open the venue for set-up at 9:00 a.m.
There is plenty of free parking at the FFA Enrichment Center. Click here for a campus map. The FFA Enrichment Center is the building labeled “FFA” at the top of the map; the parking lot is located south of the venue.
Yes. There is a circle drive in front of the main entrance to the FFA Enrichment Center where you can drop off your tabling materials. Volunteers will be available to help take your materials to your table.
You’re welcome to bring any print materials and give-away items you wish to share with students and job seekers. We also recommend that you bring your own table linens (not provided by the venue) and any display materials that will help identify your organization to attendees.
