Start Here - Important Handshake Account Information

Some (but not all) of DMACC’s career fairs this year are being managed through Handshake, our free online career network. Students, grads, and employers wishing to register for a career fair managed through Handshake need to create free Handshake accounts prior to registering to attend. Please follow the instructions below to create your account:

  • Students - Start here: Enter your DMACC email address, then follow the instructions to verify your email and fill out your profile
  • Grads - Start here: Enter your personal email address, then follow the instructions to verify your email and fill out your profile
  • Employers - Start here: Follow these instructions to create an account and connect to an existing company profile or create a new one.

Once you have set-up your Handshake account, use the links below to register for your desired event(s) on Handshake. Please contact DMACC Career Services at careers@dmacc.edu with questions or concerns related your Handshake account.

Spring 2026 Career Fairs

Automotive Career Fair – Thu. February 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Bldg. 13, Ankeny Campus

  • Targeted Programs: Auto Collision, Auto Mechanics, Diesel Tech
  • Employers: Register on Handshake Registration opens Dec 5th at 7:00 a.m. CDT
  • Students/Grads: Register on Handshake & view profiles of attending organizations

(NEW EVENT!) Health Science & Fitness Career Fair – Mon. March 2nd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Bldg. 5, Ankeny Campus

  • Replaces our previously hosted Health & Public Service Career Fair
  • Targeted Programs: Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Exercise Science/Kinesiology Transfer, Fitness & Exercise Management, Health Administration, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding, Medical Laboratory Tech, CNA/LPN/RN, Patient Access, Pre-Med & Pre-Health Occupations, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Tech
  • Employers: Register on Handshake Registration opens Dec 5th at 7:00 a.m. CDT
  • Students/Grads: Register on Handshake & view profiles of attending organizations

(NEW EVENT!) Public Service Career Fair – Thu. March 5th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – FFA Enrichment Center, Ankeny Campus

  • Replaces our previously hosted Criminal Justice, Fire & EMS, and Health & Public Service career fairs
  • Targeted Programs: Criminal Justice, EMT and Paramedic, Fire Science, Human Services, Political Science Transfer, Psychology Transfer, Social Work Transfer, Sociology Transfer
  • Employers & Students/Grads: Please check back in January 2026 for links to register for this fair. Contact Sara Clayton at snclayton@dmacc.edu with questions in the meantime

Business & IT Career Fair – Thu. March 26th, 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Bldg. 5, Ankeny Campus

  • Targeted Programs: Accounting, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Business Transfer, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Insurance Services, Marketing, Network Administration, Network Technology, Supply Chain Management, Web Development
