Convenient student housing: Near the DMACC Ankeny Campus are some privately owned and operated student housing options, including Campus View, Campus Town and Prairie Pointe, all located within a short walk to classes on campus.

Campus View is the only DMACC affiliated Student Housing property and is located on the Northwest part of the DMACC Ankeny campus. Campus View offers DMACC students fully furnished apartments (living room and bedroom) with private and shared bedroom and bathroom options, roommate matching, individual leases with terms based on the academic calendar, and resident assistance. Rent includes all utilities, cable and wireless internet. The apartments include a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, and ample storage. Campus View also offers a number of amenities including: monthly social events, lifestyle center, fitness center, theater room, quiet study rooms, game rooms, courtyard with grilling areas.

Campus Town is the Premier Student Housing property located right across the street to the south of DMACC Ankeny campus. Campus Town offers private and shared bedroom and bathroom options with lease terms based on the academic calendar and roommate matching. Campus Town has fully furnished apartments (living room and bedroom) with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, electronic locks, video surveillance, balconies and full-size washer and dryer. Rent includes all utilities, cable, and internet. Amenities include: scenic rooftop terrace, café lounge, 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness club, indoor basketball court/gymnasium, study area, movie theatre room, game room, and social & community events.

Located next to the DMACC Ankeny campus, privately owned and operated by Haverkamp Properties. Inc., Prairie Pointe is just a short walk away from class. These 3 & 4 bedroom apartments feature private bedrooms, private bathrooms, furnished living rooms, and in-unit laundry. Kitchen includes two refrigerators, dishwasher and large pantry closet for ample storage. The clubhouse hangout includes a coffee bar, theater room, tanning booth, and fitness center-all included in your monthly rent. Rent includes all utilities and 1 Gig internet in each bedroom

DMACC Ankeny Theatre is a professionally oriented theatre program providing opportunities through education and performance. Along with various educational programs available including a Theatre Transfer Major (AA) as well as an Acting Certificate, the Ankeny Theatre department provides opportunities to train in a focused and objective training environment through production experience - onstage and offstage. Any student is welcome to explore performance and production opportunities with the 4-5 productions put on throughout the year.

Fashion Show

The annual DMACC Fashion Show was born in the spring of 2015 to create a deeper more meaningful experience for students. Students who enroll in the Fashion Events & PR course work together to plan, organize, produce and promote this event each year.

FFA Enrichment Center

FFA Enrichment Center

FFA partnered with DMACC to build a 57,000 SF 2-story building on the Ankeny Campus (17-acre portion of the former Iowa State University research farm near the southwest side of the new Prairie Trails development). DMACC donated the land and is responsible for maintaining the facility. In return DMACC has some dedicated classroom space and some shared use space. The expansion included:

  • FFA Classrooms and Laboratories
  • 8,000 SF Exhibit Hall
  • FFA staff offices
  • Greenhouses
  • Large Conferencing Center designed for 450 people
  • DMACC Veterinary Technician program
  • DMACC Water Environmental Tech program
  • DMACC Agriculture programs
