Energy Conservation​

  • Reduction Revolution – a campus wide educational initiative that encourages students, faculty, and staff to use less and waste less
  • Thanks to a grant from Metro Waste Authority and a generous offer from The Baker Group​, DMACC Urban is home to a beauitful solar panel picnic table. 

​Waste Reduction
  • Composting program with the faculty and staff lounge, and for parties and events held on the DMACC Urban Campus 
  • Compostable dinnerware for on campus events and parties
  • Paper reduction efforts for students, faculty, and staff using the Papercut program 
  • Increased recycling and recycling awareness throughout the campus
  • Reduction Revolution – a campus wide educational initiative that encourages students, faculty, and staff to use less and waste less

Food Security

  • Utilizing the ChowBank app to donate food leftovers from events on campus
  • DMACC Urban Food Forest and learning barn

Soil, Water, and Habitat

  • ​Urban prairie habitat throughout campus
