Students are encouraged to identify a placement that reflects their individual interests in the field. Emphasis on professional expectations and behavior, appropriate interactions, planning, implementation and assessment and exploring multiple facets of overall program operations. Includes 150-hour work experience. Criminal background check is required. Prerequisites: ECE 103, 133, 170; "C" or better in ECE 159, 243, 343, and 359; 2.5 program GPA. Current CPR/First Aid, Universal Precautions and Mandatory Child Abuse Reporter Certification. Internship application is required the semester prior to enrollment in the course.
