​Julie began her teaching career at DMACC in August 2013, and serves as the Urban Campus accounting group leader, internship coordinator and tax clinic leader.  She teaches a variety of accounting classes, both face-to-face and online including payroll tax, income tax, intermediate accounting and Excel courses.  Julie worked at Ernst & Young in the Des Moines office for seven years prior to joining DMACC and really enjoys sharing her client serving experience with students.  She is passionate about connecting students to career opportunities.

Education: B.A. in History from Brown University; M.Ac. in Accounting from the University of Iowa.
