As an AQIP accredited institution under the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) hosts a Comprehensive Quality Review the year prior to reaffirmation of accreditation. During this site visit the Comprehensive Quality Review Team from the HLC validate and affirm the information documented in the Systems Portfolio as well as the Federal Compliance evidence. The Comprehensive Quality Review Team makes a final recommendation to the HLC Institutional Actions council regarding the institution's Reaffirmation of Accreditation.
In preparation for this Comprehensive Quality Review and Reaffirmation of Accreditation, DMACC solicits Third Party Comments from Students, Faculty Members, Parents, Employers and the Broader Community.
DMACC is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The College will host a visit October 31-November 2, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission. Des Moines Area Community College has been accredited by HLC since 1974. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation. The public is invited to submit comments regarding the college to the following address:
