Academic Achievement Center (AAC).
Faculty in this center are available to help with math, writing, reading, science, and study skills. The AAC coordinates student tutors and can help you get access to Smart Thinking, an online tutoring service.
We are open in-person during the Fall 2022 semester in room 109:
- Monday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
High School Completion in the Newton Academic Achievement
HiSET (formerly GED) classes and tests; High School Equivalency Diploma and (HSED Option #2), formerly DMACC Adult Diploma, classes and tests; and Youth Consortium programming classes and tests are offered by the AAC.
Fall HiSET Classes begin on August 29th at 10am. Please stop in that day to get registered and start classes!
- Classes meet Monday-Thursday, 10 am-12:30 pm

The Newton Academic Achievement Center is now offering our own online tutoring services to serve our college students, students taking HiSET classes, and the students in our Career Academy.
