WHAT:         
The DMACC Choirs will present two free choral Masterworks featuring works from Giacomo Puccini and Johannes Brahms. The Chamber Ensemble will present Puccini’s Messa di Gloria with chamber orchestra.  The Concert Choir will sing the final two movements of Messa di Gloria, as well as Brahms’ The May Night and “How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place” from A German Requiem.

 Orso Coro (a new choir selected from the Chamber Ensemble) will sing Brahms op. 52 Liebeslieder Walzer.

DMACC Ankeny Campus, Bldg. #6 Auditorium, with a reception to follow at the Iowa Culinary Institute, Bldg. #7

WHO:
The DMACC Choirs, under the direction of DMACC Associate Professor and Music Department Chair Dr. James Thompson, feature many DMACC students who have recently been accepted into the Schools of Music at Drake, Iowa State, Central and the University of Iowa as transfer music majors.

The Masterworks Choral Concert will also feature four-hand piano accompaniment by Professor Steve Linn from the Ankeny Campus and Dr. Cindy Lin from the Boone Campus and Hunziker Center.
