DMACC Automotive Students and Faculty to Participate in Fourth Annual Pre-Winter Community Car Checkup Event

​​​WHAT: The Fourth Annual Pre-Winter Community Car Checkup is a fun and FREE opportunity for members of the Greater Des Moines community to receive a complimentary pre-winter inspection of their vehicles.

DMACC Automotive Program students and faculty members will help conduct the check-up services, which include replacing lights and windshield wipers, checking tires, filling fluids, and performing car-seat checks and other maintenance-related items at no cost. Referrals will also be provided for larger needs.

Free food – including donuts and hot dogs -- will be provided.

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 8 a.m. to Noon (or for the first 500 cars)

WHY: The goal of this fun event is to help community members stay safe on the roads this winter by providing free access to basic vehicle inspections and maintenance services.
