WHO:
Children from the DMACC Child Development Center will participate in a “50 Cent Children’s Parade” at 10:30 a.m. on Thurs., June 20th, to celebrate the Center’s 50th Anniversary on the DMACC Ankeny Campus.

WHAT:
As part of the “reverse parade” format, about 25 children from the Center – ranging in age from eight weeks to five years old – will collect donations as they walk, ride bikes and trikes, or get a lift in a wagon around the parade route.

So, bring some quarters and join the fun! The suggested donation amount is – you guessed it – 50 cents per child. All donations will benefit the DMACC Child Development Center.

WHEN:
Thursday, June 20, 10:30 a.m.
The parade will last approximately 30 minutes.

WHERE:
DMACC Ankeny Campus
2006 South Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, IA
Parade attendees should park in Lot K.

The parade route will begin near the DMACC Child Development Center (Bldg. 9) and proceed to the DMACC Fountain before turning toward Bldg. 1 and moving around a short loop that will end back at the Fountain.

Note: In the event of rain/inclement weather, the parade will move inside the Student Center (Bldg. 5) on the DMACC Ankeny Campus.

WHY:
The DMACC Child Development Center is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2019.

Rated a five-star program by the Iowa Quality Rating System, the Center is committed to providing high-quality early care and education for the children of DMACC students, staff and faculty while building skills and knowledge for Early Childhood Education students at DMACC through hands-on education.
