Chinese Approaches to Health: Food, Acupuncture, Massage, & More

Yimin Xu is a licensed acupuncturist in Iowa. He is also certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine in acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Dr. Xu graduated from the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China in 1983 and a faculty member of Dongyang Medical School and Zhejiang College of TCM before immigrating to the United States in 1992. Dr. Xu did his graduate studies in pharmacology at Northeastern University in Boston and began teaching at Southwest Acupuncture College since 1993 and acquired his professorship in 1997. Dr. Xu moved to Iowa in 2000.

Two Decades of China in the Eyes of a Professional Photographer

As a photographer, Professor Stahr has traveled to China nine times between 1991 and 2009, first as a photographer with friends and then at the invitation of the Chinese government. Curt journeyed its capital city Beijing, its capital city in its history for 2,000 years Xi'an, and then Mongolia. He has taken over 4,000 photos of the Chinese people and its country, a few of which are displayed in Bldg.2 on Ankeny campus. He will give a beautiful PowerPoint presentation.
