Summer Financial Aid - Transfer Student

If you attended another school during the 2016-2017 academic year:

You must be a degree-seeking student at DMACC to receive financial aid.  Guest students are not eligible for financial aid.  For more information on payment options for Guest Students, click here.

If you are a degree-seeking student:

you may have aid remaining that you did not use during the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 terms (see additional information below under “Calculating Your Estimated Aid Eligibility”).

Add DMACC's school code (004589) to your FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov

After DMACC receives your FAFSA, there are additional steps required for your financial aid application to be processed.  See the Financial Aid Checklist for additional steps in the process.

Calculating Your Estimated Summer Aid Eligibility

Pell Grant Eligibility: If you had a Pell Grant for this academic year, but were not enrolled full time each term, you could be eligible to receive a Pell Grant during the summer.

Example:   A student, who attended full time fall and half time spring, would have a ½ time Pell award remaining for the Summer 2017 session.

If you have Pell grant eligibility remaining, the grant amount available for the summer term will show on your award information on the Web Info System after your financial aid application is processed.

Student Loan Eligibility: You may have student loan eligibility for the summer term, depending on the amount you borrowed during the fall and spring terms.

Example: As a freshman the annual maximum for a dependent student is $5,500.  If you only borrowed $4,000 during the fall and spring terms, you could borrow up to $1,500 for summer.

The annual (fall/spring/summer) loan limits are:
