Over the last seven years, hundreds of thousands of Iowans have taken part in the annual Healthiest State Walk – including DMACC students, faculty, and staff – and we invite you to take part in this event, once again! On October 4th at 12 PM, the following DMACC Campus locations will participate in this statewide effort. This year the Healthiest State Initiative is encouraging participants to walk 30 minutes. Information Literacy is in the midst of a paradigm shift. In June 2016, the Association of College & Research Libraries replaced the Information Literacy Standards with a Framework for Information Literacy. This Framework uses threshold concepts to explain what it means to be Information Literate. This discussion will encourage discussion on the nature of reality and academic authority.
