COVID-19 Procedures for Onsite Classes

For classes held on a DMACC Campus or Center, please know that DMACC has implemented the following safety precautions and policies:

  • ​All students and instructors must bring and wear a face covering at all times.​
  • Classrooms and labs will be set up to provide 6 feet social distancing. Please maintain this distance in hallways, restrooms, etc.​

  • Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be provided in classrooms​.

  • Food and drinks are allowed in classrooms and labs at the discretion of the instructor and must be kept under your control at all times to reduce exposure to others.

  • Drinking fountains and vending machines may not be available.​

  • Custodial staff will conduct a “deep clean” prior to your class and perform cleaning protocols using authorized equipment and techniques.​

  • Since circumstances can change quickly, please check our website for the most up-to-date class information.

Do not come to a DMACC Campus or Center if you:

  • Are not feeling well, have a new cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing;

  • Experience a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia);

  • Display a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher (regardless of the cause; 

  • Are waiting on COVID-19 test results for your or a member of your household due to a positive exposure or symptoms;

  • Have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days;

  • Have been in close contact with a presumed or confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days;

  • Have traveled internationally in the past 14 days.

  • If you test positive for COVID-19 after attending a class or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive, report this immediately to DMACC Continuing Education at or 515-256-4912.​

DMACC reserves the right to adjust guidelines/schedule, if circumstances warrant (Ex. PPE available, space considerations/availability, health conditions, Governor/IDPH guidelines). For the most current college updates and resources regarding COVID-19, click here​. ​
