On Saturday, October 28, the DMACC Ankeny Campus will host the outstanding male a cappella vocal group, Tonic Sōl Fa. Members of Tonic Sōl Fa will teach a master class for students from West Des Moines’ Valley Southwoods from 5:30 – 6:30 p. m. Persons interested in a cappella vocal music may observe the master class for free; however, no one will be admitted after the class starts and those who attend are expected to stay for all of it.
After the master class, Tonic Sōl Fa will present a concert at 7:30 pm in the Ankeny Campus Auditorium in Building 6, with a guest performance by the Valley Southwoods singers. Tickets for the Tonic Sōl Fa concert may be purchased at
www.dmacc.edu/music through Friday, October 13. Admission is $15; all seating is general admission. Tickets purchased online will be mailed to purchasers. After October 13, remaining tickets will be available only as first-come-first-serve on the night of the concert. Seating is limited to 320, so purchase tickets early.
Tonic Sōl Fa CDs, videos, and shirts will be available for purchase the evening of the concert. Following the concert the audience can meet and chat with Tonic Sōl Fa and have merchandise autographed during a free reception in the atrium of Building 7 (adjacent to Building 6).
