Virtual Career Discovery Sessions are designed to provide virtual career exploration and awareness opportunities to engage and support our teachers and high school students.  Over the coming weeks, the DMACC Career Discovery Network will be reaching out to our local businesses to invite them to join us as a virtual presenter, by sharing their career path and expertise, leading a demonstration, participating on an industry focused panel, providing tips for resume writing, and more.  Each presentation will be a live ZOOM call allowing participants to engage and ask questions.  They will also be recorded for others to view at a later time.  Click on the events below for more information and to register to attend virtually!

Sessions will be one of the following formats:

  • Career Presentations: Industry professionals share their own unique career pathways; may be a single presenter or a panel. (30 minutes)
  • Informational Interviews: PPS staff will interview professionals about their career and career path. (30 minutes)
  • Teaching a Skill or Demo: Industry professionals will teach a skill or lead a demonstration to students using online resources, video and applied instruction. (30 minutes)
