This facility has expanded DMACC's ability to educate more healthcare students. That's important because Iowa and the nation are facing a severe shortage of trained health care professionals as caregivers retire over the next 25 years.
*DLR Group, Des Moines, was the Architect for this project; Frank Baxter General Contractors, Inc., Des Moines, was the general contractor. Construction began in late September of 2007 and was completed in October 2008. Classes were first held in the building on January 2009.
