Road Construction 2019

Beginning in late April 2019, several construction projects may impact traffic flow to and from the DMACC Ankeny Campus.

Project 1

Second Avenue (State Highway 415)

Road construction between I-80 and Oralabor Road (State Highway 160) in Ankeny will experience traffic reduced to single lane in each direction as it approaches the intersection with 66th Avenue (which runs east and west) during bridge removal and intersection reconstruction.

This Iowa DOT project is expected to begin April 22 and last through November 2019.

Road construction at the primary entrance to the DMACC Ankeny Campus at Oralabor Road (State Highway 160) and DMACC Boulevard (runs through Campus). Improvements include adding an additional left turn lane into campus, widening the entrance to DMACC Boulevard and upgrading the traffic signals.

The improvements are expected to begin in May and be completed before the fall semester starts on August 21, 2019.
