The Campus Health office is currently closed to the public and walk-in traffic. Campus Health Specialist and Nurse Practitioner are working remotely and virtually during scheduled DMACC hours. Campus Health is currently scheduling video visits utilizing Microsoft Teams and/or phone visits with the Campus Health Specialist or the Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner DMACC hours remain Tuesday's from 8am- 4pm and Wednesday's 8am-Noon. Students must contact Campus Health to set up a meeting time and provide contact/meeting information. Any face to face visits deemed necessary by Campus Health require an appointment and will be decided on a case by case basis with approval of DMACC administration. Any face to face visits may be subject to change based on state/local health and DMACC requirements. Students may also contact Nurse Practitioner, Ed Piasecki, outside of his DMACC hours at Unity Point- Merle Hay. Insurance will be utilized per Unity Point policy if using the Merle Hay location. We offer DMACC students FREE visits with a nurse practitioner for health concerns and needs.
We also offer:
Physicals: Appointments mandatory, fee applies.
Immunizations: Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria, Tetanus/Diphtheria & Pertussis, MMR, Varicella & TB testing. Fees apply. Check with Campus Health for pricing.
Immunizations are currently on hold while Campus Health Specialist is working from home. Please check with Primary physician or call Polk County Health Dept. to schedule an immunization appointment.
Assessment of minor illness/injury. Emergency First Aid provided.
Basic Lab Tests
Blood Titers: Drawn twice a week. Appointments mandatory. Fee applies.
Health Care Referral to local health care providers.
Educational materials are available in the Campus Health Office.
