The 2024 DMACC Carroll Campus Commencement Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., May 6, in the Carroll Senior High School Gymnasium.
DMACC is pleased to announce the featured speakers for its Spring 2024 Metro, Boone and Carroll Campus Commencement ceremonies.
DMACC Metro Commencement
The 2024 DMACC Metro Commencement Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Wed., May 1, at Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines. The ceremony will recognize more than 1,000 students who are graduating from the College's Ankeny, Newton, Urban (Des Moines) and West Des Moines Campuses, as well as graduating DMACC Online students.
Jacob Reuss, a DMACC Liberal Arts student from West Des Moines, will welcome family and friends to the ceremony, and DMACC Vice President Emeritus Dr. Mary Chapman will give the commencement address. Dr. Chapman, who retired from DMACC in 2013, joined DMACC in 1990 as Executive Dean/Provost of the College's Urban Campus in Des Moines and later served as Vice President for Community and Workforce Partnerships at DMACC.
The Metro Commencement Ceremony will also be livestreamed at graduation.dmacc.edu.
DMACC Boone Campus Commencement
The 2024 DMACC Boone Campus Commencement Ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Fri., May 3, in the DMACC Boone Campus Gymnasium, 1125 Hancock Drive, in Boone. The ceremony will recognize the approximately 225 students who are graduating from the DMACC Boone Campus this Spring.
Katoya Jepson, a DMACC Psychology-Transfer student from Elkhart, will welcome family and friends to the graduation ceremony, and Dr. Zoe M. Thornton, Associate Professor of Practice in Higher Education within the Iowa State University (ISU) School of Education, will give the commencement address.
DMACC Carroll Campus Commencement
The 2024 DMACC Carroll Campus Commencement Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Mon., May 6, in the Carroll Senior High School Gymnasium, 2809 N. Grant Road, in Carroll. A total of 180 students are graduating from the DMACC Carroll Campus this Spring, with more than 100 planning to walk across the stage at commencement.
DMACC Nursing students Abigail Kerkhoff and Isabella Armitage, both of Carroll, will welcome family and friends to the graduation ceremony, and Eddie Diaz, Director of the DMACC Perry VanKirk Career Academy, will give the commencement address.
